SCEC Re-Dedication Ceremony

A re-dedication ceremony will be held on Monday, April 15th, at USC for the Southern California Earthquake Center. SCEC has received major funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) for the past eleven years and new funding has been committed for the next five years.

The event will begin promptly at 11 a.m in Mudd Hall of Philosophy. with speakers and presentations, followed by a lunch reception until 2 p.m. During the reception, attendees will view displays, and tour the newly retrofitted and significantly expanded headquarters for SCEC.

We are inviting senior officials from SCEC's sponsoring agencies, all SCEC scientists and students, as well as elected officials, representatives of emergency management and other government agencies, earthquake engineers, and others interested in earthquakes.
