ACCESS Interns: The research schedule for an ACCESS intern will be determined by each intern and mentor. Most ACCESS interns complete their internship during the summer. ACCESS interns attend the all-intern retreat and field trip, as well as other activities that may be scheduled during the summer. Students interested in the ACCESS program should complete the online application.

SURE, USEIT, and ACCESS: December 15, 2009 – February 26, 2010: First priority applications accepted on-line
March 1 – March 15, 2010: First priority applications reviewed. Certain candidates or their references may be contacted to participate in telephone interviews.
March 1 - Mid-April 2010: Positions are offered. Each offer expires after one week. Some students will be notified that they are program alternates. In past years, several program alternates have later received offers.
December 15, 2009 – May 21, 2010: Applications accepted until all internship positions are filled. Don’t wait to apply! In recent years we have had very few internships for late applicants.
May 15 – August 31, 2010: SCEC/SURE program endpoints. Interns participate for 8-10 consecutive weeks in this time frame, with specifics dependent upon mentor and project.
June 14 – August 6, 2010: SCEC/ USEIT, Summer 2010, 8 week program.

All Interns: May 23 – August 8, 2010: Dates that USC housing is available for USEIT, SURE, and ACCESS interns who are staying on the USC campus.
June/July 2010 (Dates TBA): All-intern retreat and field trip.
September 11 – 15, 2010: SCEC Annual Meeting, Palm Springs, CA
