Dollars for Answers

Dollars for Answers is the finale to Tech Day! Students, after spending the entire day exploring exciting experiments done through the fields of science and technology, get to show off how much they've learned from the events. Questions are asked to the group regarding specific exhibits. If a student answers the question correctly, they receive $1!

It is important for every exhibitor to think about the top three ideas they want the kids to take away from their exhibits. These ideas should be explained to the kids during the day so that they are given the knowledge to answer questions centered on these ideas during the Dollars for Answers event.

    Where did the first animals on Earth live?

    What is Climate?
    What is Paleo-Climate?
    What is one technique scientists use to reconstruct past climate?

    From "Solid As a Rock: A Rheology Experiment"
    What Happens when you try to stretch a cold rock?
    What happens when you stretch a rock very slowly?
