SCEC Knowledge Transfer Workshops with CDMG, OES, WSSPC and others, 1995-Present:

1996: "One Year After Northridge" workshop cosponsored with OES, at the release of "Seismic Hazards in Southern California: Probable Earthquakes, 1994-2024." ~300 scientists, engineers, public officials, planners and responders attended. Media organizations covered the event. WSSPC conducted its LA Area Workshop simultaneously, and SCEC organized a field trip for WSSPC attendees to the SCEC Data Center and faults of LA.

1996: Rate of Earthquakes in So. Calif. and Insurance 101. Attendance: 75 scientists and 150 insurers.

1997: CDMG/SCEC Evaluation of and Mitigation Within Co-Seismic Zones of Surface Deformation. Attendance: 32.

1997: CDMG provided funds to support "Making the Most of New Real Time Information Technologies in Managing Earthquake Emergencies," a one-day workshop to acquaint emergency managers with new technologies, facilitate communication of policy choices and decisions, and obtain feedback.

1998: CDMG/SCEC Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment Maps Workshop for local governments. Attendance: 106.

1999, 2000: Two workshops on Liquefaction Task Force Technical Report. Convenor: SCEC Outreach. Attendance: 300 total.

Print and Electronic Products and Services 1999: SCEC produced "Recommended Procedures for Implementation of CDMG Special Publication 117 (Guidelines for Analyzing and Mitigating Liquefaction in California)"
