As SCEC is ending its term as an NSF Science
and Technology Center, several people were recognized at an Awards
Ceremony on the last night of the Annual Meeting.

Center Director Tom Henyey
(right) presents the 2001 Outreach Award to Bernard Minster,
who accepted the award on behalf of Jill Andrews, former Director
of SCEC's Outreach Office. Ms. Andrews was attending another
meeting and could not make the ceremony. The award was for "Exceptional
Leadership in Developing the SCEC Education and Outreach Program
1995-2000."

Director Designate Tom Jordan
(right) presents an award to Bernard Minster in recognition of
his "Distinguished Service as SCEC Science Director 1999-2002."
