The 2003 SCEC Annual Meeting was held on September 7-10 at the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach in Oxnard, California, site of the previous three SCEC annual meetings.

The meeting was organized by the SCEC Planning Committee, chaired by Tom Henyey. There were poster presentations with abstracts due no later than August 20. In addition to the normal work of planning future activities, we had several science talks during the meeting, with evenings set aside for poster sessions/viewing. The annual meeting formally started on Monday morning and concluded late Wednesday morning. Following the meeting, there was a FARM workshop, being organized by Terry Tullis and Ruth Harris.

There was an informal field trip on Sunday, September 7 led by Ed Keller and Larry Gurrola. Participants met at the hotel for a noon departure. A short description of the trip is available.

SCEC scientists were strongly encouraged to bring their students to Oxnard.

Registration is no longer available.
