Session Themes:

• Coming to Consensus on Seismic Hazards and Risk
• Communicating Across Disciplines
• Communicating with the Media
• Legal Ramifications of Risk Communication

Sessions will include panel discussions, open forums, and roundtable discussions with audience participation aimed toward action to be taken to reduce risks from earthquakes and related hazards. Other highlights will include an Exhibitor Fair, breakout sessions and workshops, and presentations of Awards in Excellence for outstanding efforts in earthquake risk reduction.

Expect to hear, in easy-to-understand terms, the implications of the latest discoveries in earthquake science and what's new in emergency management and earthquake preparedness.
