The Earthquake Simulators Workshop will be held on November 2-6th in Oxnard, California, at the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach. The purpose of the workshop is to:

  1. Provide an opportunity for the community working on earthquake simulators (i.e. earthquake simulation codes that produce a series of earthquakes) to discuss the details of their approaches and methods in order to learn from one another and to discuss simulation problems and potential solutions,

  2. Devise ways that the simulators may be evaluated and compared, and

  3. Plan the next steps in developing and evaluating simulators.

A preliminary agenda is linked below. The scientific program will begin on Saturday, November 3rd, and end before lunch time on November 6th. If you have additional questions about the meeting content, please contact Terry Tullis (Terry_Tullis@brown.edu).
