EarthScope San Andreas Fault Interpretive Workshop

San Bernardino County Museum -- April 19-22, 2009

Space is limited to approximately 25 participants. To apply, please complete the online application form. The EarthScope National Office (ESNO) and SCEC will provide food, lodging, materials, and field trip travel during the workshop. Participants (or their organizations) are expected to cover the costs of travel to and from the workshop.

Expected participants include interpretive professionals from the National Park Service, U. S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, state parks, museums, state geological surveys, and other agencies that engage the public on geological processes in southern California. Participants do not have to be geologists, but they should have some knowledge of the geology and tectonics of the region and experience incorporating geological information into interpretive programs or exhibits. There is also room for a few Earth science teachers from the K-12 school system who interact with interpretive specialists in parks or museums.

Application deadline is March 13th, 2009.

Participants are required to attend the entire workshop (from 6:00 PM Sunday, April 19 to 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 22).

Note: copying and pasting text from an application such as Microsoft Word may result in a submission error. Please check that the form submits correctly with a confirmation page.
