Strong mentorship is the cornerstone of research excellence. The success of the geoscience workforce relies on the cultivation of productive, collaborative, and effective mentoring relationships. We are pleased to invite you to participate in an upcoming professional development opportunity: Research Mentor Training - Advancing Research Excellence through Intentional Mentorship. By investing in your own mentoring skills, you aren't just supporting the next generation of geoscientists—you are increasing the productivity and innovation of your own research team.
|
This interactive workshop focuses on the following core competencies:
|
- Aligning Expectations
- Fostering Independence
- Effective Communication
- Assessing Understanding
- Promoting Professional Development
Who Should Attend? This workshop is open to researchers at all career stages who are interested in strengthening their mentoring skills. Priority consideration will be given to postdoctoral researchers and early-career faculty (within five years of transition), but all interested mentors are encouraged to apply.
|
Registration Deadline: March 16, 2026. Participation is limited to 20 individuals to facilitate high-quality engagement. We encourage interested colleagues to secure their placement by clicking the link below: CLICK TO REGISTER.
