Research Mentor Training - Enhancing Research Mentorship for a Stronger Geoscience Workforce!
Date: May 22 & 23, 2025 (09:00-11:00 PDT each day)
Effective research mentoring relationships are critical to developing the next generation of geoscientists. Studies have demonstrated that training for both mentors and mentees enhances their knowledge, skills, and behaviors, leading to more productive mentoring relationships. Moreover, strong mentorship interactions empower mentees to advance in their research careers, equipping them to become future mentors, scientific leaders, and collaborative research team members. This progression is vital for developing a well-trained, engaged, and diverse geoscience workforce.
