The SCEC-coordinated Earthquake Country Alliance is holding two workshops this month! If you are in SoCal or the Bay Area we encourage you to attend.

Wednesday, August 13, 9-12:30
|
This workshop at Caltech will include presentations about the institution’s emergency planning, next generation seismic network concepts, new maps of earthquake shaking potential and local earthquake zones, updates about recent earthquakes in southern California, ECA activities and resources, 2025 ShakeOut planning, and more. The meeting also will include time for participants to share about their activities, and is followed by an optional tour of the Caltech Seismological Laboratory!

Wednesday, August 27, 9-12:30
|
This workshop will include presentations about the advanced seismic design of Hayward City Hall and the City’s emergency management approach; updates from several state partners; an overview of Santa Clara County’s recent earthquake exercise; and ECA 2025 activities including ShakeOut planning – followed by a tour of the building’s seismic design.
