SCEC Community Geodetic Model Workshop, September 7

We are pleased to announce that the SCEC Community Geodetic Model (CGM) will hold an in-person workshop on Saturday 7 September 2024, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, immediately before the SCEC Annual Meeting.

This workshop will include several talks from invited presenters on the current state of techniques and applications of geodetic observations; demonstrations and instruction on how to access the latest CGM release and read the formats; and small breakout plus whole-group discussions about where we stand and where we need to go from the expert, developer, contributor and user research perspectives across California and beyond.

To apply for this workshop, please complete this short form before August 22, 2024: https://forms.gle/iKDsKsd8jsvro8YK8.

To facilitate productive discussion and given budgetary constraints, in-person attendance will be limited to 30 participants. Some limited travel support is available, particularly to support participation of early career scientists. Applicants will be notified of participation and travel support decisions by August 26, 2024.
