Postdoctoral position at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
The Kamai Research Group (https://ronniekamairg.wixsite.com/rkrg) is looking for a motivated and qualified post-doctoral researcher, to join our group. There are currently several funded projects, generally within the larger scope of seismic hazards and site-response analysis. Our research involves working with large datasets, conducting empirical and numerical analyses, and finally developing models for engineering applications. The successful applicant will be a highly-motivated, independent researcher. Applicants must have completed a PhD in engineering seismology or geotechnical engineering, and should be proficient in spoken and written English. Prior experience with programming, statistical analysis, and numerical analysis are an advantage.
The position is open immediately and will remain open until an appointment is made. To apply, please send a curriculum vitae, a brief (1 page) statement of research objectives, and names/contact information of two references, to Dr. Ronnie Kamai (rkamai@bgu.ac.il).

Geophysics Postdoc position at Los Alamos National Laboratory
The Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has an opening for a postdoctoral research associate in geophysics. We seek a creative and resourceful candidate with strong background and interest in fault/fracture characterization and seismic hazard. The successful candidate will utilize and innovate techniques to analyze fault/fracture systems and assess seismic risk, specifically focusing on evaluating induced seismic risk associated with subsurface injection. The term of the appointment is two years, with the option to extend to a third year depending on performance and funding availability.
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
To apply, please submit an online application (https://lanl.jobs, search IRC131978) including your CV and a one-page cover letter. The cover letter should include a short biography (2–3 lines), research interests, and future career goals. You should also explicitly address how you meet each of the minimum requirements and any of the desired skills, if applicable. In addition to applying online, applicants please also email their CV and cover letter to Ting Chen (tchen@lanl.gov).
Please note that no applicant is expected to have all the desired skills. Anyone who meets the minimum requirements is encouraged to apply.
Outstanding candidates may be considered for prestigious fellowships at LANL.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Seismology at LBNL
The Berkeley Lab’s Energy Geosciences Division (EGD) welcomes applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellow in seismology for energy-related applications such as geothermal and geological carbon storage to explore the physics of subsurface dynamics, earthquake rupturing, and the interaction between fluid and solid Earth. You can find the detail here. In this role, the candidate will process seismic waveforms and earthquake catalogs, interpret subsurface structure changes and earthquake sources, and/or conduct fieldwork. The position involves understanding subsurface dynamics due to fluid injection/extraction under various tectonic conditions. Candidates should be familiar with some of the following: subsurface imaging with passive seismic data, geomechanics, earthquake characterization, seismicity forecasting, seismic wave physics, big data processing, machine-learning-based processing, distributed fiber optic sensing, seismic sensors and deployment, hydraulic fracturing, and/or geothermal exploration. Collaboration with geophysical, geomechanical, and geochemical experts, as well as engineers, is expected. The candidate will also develop field plans, software, and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
