We are pleased to announce that the Statewide California Earthquake Center (SCEC) is now accepting proposals for earthquake research that aligns with our 2025 Science Plan. The deadline for proposals is November 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
SCEC is committed to sustaining a research collaboration for basic and applied earthquake science that is agile, open to new investigators, and has the authority to convene a global platform for multidisciplinary research, workforce development, and community engagement across earthquake science. These goals promote a professional culture that values equity, diversity, and inclusion, enabling the Center to maximize the contributions of the next generation of earthquake scientists.
The current Science Plan emphasizes new opportunities enabled by a geographic scope that now includes the entire transform plate boundary between the Pacific and North American Plates from western Nevada to the Borderlands offshore, and from Baja California to Cape Mendocino.
To submit a proposal, every investigator on the proposal must have a SCEC.org account and no overdue report from a prior SCEC-funded award. For more information and submission guidelines, please visit www.scec.org/scienceplan.

We look forward to receiving your proposals!
