As we continue to navigate current uncertainties, we are fortunate that SCEC is a tightly knit and resilient community. We reaffirm our commitment to SCEC’s core values. SCEC’s mission always included supporting every member of our community and those we serve, ensuring success regardless of background or circumstance. This means fostering an environment where barriers are minimized, individuals feel safe and welcomed, mentoring is generously provided, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive and reach their greatest potential. That commitment remains unchanged. At this time, we have not received any specific communication from our funding agencies regarding SCEC funding or activities, but we will remain adaptable while ensuring the strength and integrity of our community.
|
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the new Proposal Review Committee (PRC) of SCEC, led by Alice Gabriel, for their dedicated and high-quality work in reviewing the 117 proposals submitted in response to our RFP. This process required a rapid pivot to a fully virtual review meeting due to the wildfire situation in Los Angeles, and we deeply appreciate the resilience and flexibility shown by everyone involved. We are in the process of finalizing funding recommendations and will inform PIs as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued engagement and contributions to SCEC. We will keep you informed as we learn more and appreciate your support during these challenging times.
