Dear SCEC Community,

on behalf of Annemarie Baltay and Rachel Abercrombie

Hello All,

We invite you to the SCEC Community Stress Drop Workshop virtually on February 25th, 2025, to be held on Zoom from approximately 9am - 3pm Pacific time.

Please see more details and register here: https://www.scec.org/events/2025-scec-stress-drop-workshop/

We will hold the workshop in three sessions, please join for all or just what you're interested in! As always, we welcome participation and listening from all.

Part I: 9am - 11am. Compare and contrast the results obtained to date through a community discussion, especially focused on results presented in the BSSA Special Issue (see list of papers at the bottom of the workshop webpage).

Part II: 11:30am - 12:30pm. We will present a first synthetic dataset developed with SMSIM, focused on understanding uncertainties in isolating source, path and site using band-limited spectra.

Part III: from 1pm - 2:30pm. Define the direction for this active and ongoing community research and discuss a potential collaborative NSF proposal. Join to hear more or demonstrate interest to join as co-PIs, or (non-funded) supporters/collaborators.

*Note that afternoon times may change slightly depending on participation!

Cheers!
