Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

2005 Annual Meeting: 3D Rupture Dynamics Code Validation Workshop

3D Rupture Dynamics Code Validation Workshop

Date:  Sunday, September 11th
Where: SCEC Annual Meeting in Palm Springs, CA
Organizers: Ruth Harris, USGS and Ralph Archuleta, UCSB

The objective of this workshop is to compare our methods of three-dimensional spontaneous rupture calculations for simulating earthquakes. We welcome users and developers of 3-d finite-difference, finite-element, boundary integral/element, spectral element, and hybrid approaches. The workshop is a continuation of the effort started with the kick-off workshop in November 2003.
