EarthScope Speakers Available at No Cost!!

Applications are being accepted for the 2008 EarthScope Speaker Series. EarthScope is a nationwide program to explore the structure and evolution of the North American continent and understand the physical processes that cause earthquakes and volcanic eruptions (www.earthscope.org). The 2008 EarthScope Speakers are presenting scientific results of EarthScope research to faculty and students at colleges and universities. Travel and lodging for the speakers is provided by funds from the National Science Foundation.

Please encourage your local college or university to apply for an EarthScope speaker. They can do so online at: www.earthscope.org/speakers

Application deadline is February 1, 2008 for presentations during the 2007-08 academic year and April 1, 2008 for fall, 2008. Late applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
