Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

SCEC Annual Meeting Workshop - Public Communications Theory and Practice for Scientists

Date: 08/15/2017

Dear SCEC Community,

We are excited to announce another communications-themed workshop at the SCEC Annual Meeting this year! Please join us on Sunday, September 10, from 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM for the interactive session “Public Communications Theory and Practice for Scientists”. We will dive into theories of science, risk, and crisis communications and conclude with small, informal practice sessions. We will also explore how you can relate this workshop to your SCEC research too! This is a great way for you to improve your impact and how you communicate, and to also share your thoughts and questions with the attending group. And if you’re new to the SCEC Community, this will be an excellent icebreaker!

REGISTER NOW FOR THE WORKSHOP!
*This is separate from the Annual Meeting registration, and it is free.
Registration helps us determine what you need most from this workshop,
and of-course, seating and refreshments.*
