Seismology of the Americas: Deadline for Session Proposals 2 October 2017

The Seismological Society of America (SSA) and the Latin American and Caribbean Seismological Commission (LACSC) welcome the submission of proposals from across the fields of geotechnical and earthquake engineering, earthquake science and seismology. The Program Committee encourages all members of the seismological community to help make this joint meeting impactful by creating sessions related to their own cutting-edge research, methodology, and technology developments. *Submission Process*

Please use the online submission form to submit your proposal no later than 2 October 2017. You will be asked to provide a session name, a 1-2 paragraph description of the session topic, and the name, affiliation and contact information of at least one convener, preferably two, for each session. Each convener must have agreed to participate at the meeting.

Please do not extend invitations to authors before receiving approval for your session. The Program Committee will reach out to session proposal submitters to let them know if their session has been approved, and all approved sessions will be published on the meeting website, http://seismology2018.org/, by 1 November 2017.
