Broader Impacts In the proposed project, we will rely on more than a decade of work that established a detailed record of micro-earthquakes with data from the borehole High Resolution Seismic Network (HRSN) network and surface NCSN network sites at Parkfield [Nadeau and McEvilly, 1999; 2004]. We hope to develop a forecasting experiment that eventually can be properly evaluated with CSEP. Results from this effort can also inform work by the WGCEP on if and how fault interaction should be explicitly incorporated in earthquake hazard estimates.
