Broader Impacts This method will allow engineers to better understand the quality of the synthetic seismograms and show geophysicists the strengths and flaws of the simulations, potentially leading to more accurate BB predictions. The proposed GOF module, if developed and implemented, will be a highly needed and invaluable part of the SCEC BB Platform to rate the accuracy of the BB synthetics.
