Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

About Me Publications
Malka (Maddy) is a computer science student at California State University, Fullerton, and UseIT intern for summer of 2019. She has had a passion for technology, particularly robotics, for many years. She is also a geology enthusiast, taking many classes for fun, and casual hiker. Malka is planning to declare a minor in Geology, and perhaps pursue the topic for a graduate degree. Her first job was development code for a small LLC in Chino, California. Most of the duties involved programming in Java and several other web languages. She has done more Java in the UseIT internship, but also worked on the Blue Waters supercomputer, and used R to generate visuals for data. Malka is always interested in learning new ways to study earthquakes and develop systems to increase safety.
