About Me Publications
Vivian is a rising senior at the University of Texas at El Paso, she plans to graduate May 2021 with a geology degree. Interests include planetary science, seismology, climate change, and economic geology. Vivian conducts research with NASA/Jacobs Engineering since January 2020, where they use the software Catalite to catalog photography taken by astronauts. She is also a summer intern for the 2020 SCEC’s Supported Opportunities for Undergraduates and Researchers to Collaborate on Earthquake Science (SOURCES) at the Southern California Earthquake Center.
She plans to attend graduate school and eventually obtain a doctorate in the field of geology. She wishes to work with a company but eventually join the academic field and conduct her own research.

Vivian is a part of multiple organizations such as a board member in her sorority Alpha Xi Delta, member in SEG/CEGs (Society of Economic Geology), member of Association for Women Geoscientist (Sun City Chapter), and member of the Natural Science Foundation academic year-pathways research experience program (AY-PREP). During her free time she enjoys coaching kids how to swim, participating in triathlons, and hiking around local trails with friends.
