Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

About Me Publications
Afe Addeh is an undergraduate at the University of Maryland double majoring in computer science and studio art. As a SCEC UseIT intern, she helped develop a new animation feature named Open Interval Animation on SCEC-VDO. This feature animates earthquake droughts (color coding based on years) along the Hayword, Elsinore, San Jacinto, and San Andreas faults in California. The user can also change how they define an earthquake drought by changing the drought indicator length, minimum magnitude, and the faults to consider in the animation.
