Dr. Donna Charlevoix is Director of Education and Community Engagement and Managing Director of Communications for UNAVCO and the NSF-supported GAGE facility. The portfolio of work under her purview includes technical training for graduate students and researchers, curriculum development for K12 and higher education, internship programs for undergraduate and community college students, diversity and inclusion programming, and all aspects of organizational communication and outreach. She holds a PhD in science education and a MS in atmospheric sciences. She worked for over a decade in academia as faculty after which she transitioned to work for non-profits that support federally-funded science facilities. She is actively involved in atmospheric science education and the American Meteorological Society, co-authors university science textbooks, and serves in the leadership of the Council on Undergraduate Research. She resides with her family in Colorado.
