A student studying pure mathematics, I am a rising junior transferring from Pasadena City College to UCLA where I will complete my undergraduate studies. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I hope to attend graduate school where I can participate in research and further foster my curiosity. I aspire to work in academia, an environment in which I can learn and exchange ideas.
This summer I worked as a SCEC UseIT intern on the Forecasting and Simulations Team in hopes of forecasting and communicating earthquake phenomena throughout California. My main focus was to work on calculations aspect. After this internship, I hope to continue to explore mathematics as a subject itself, and to apply it to different fields of science.
