Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

SCEC Spontaneous Rupture Workshop

Numerical Simulations of Rupture Dynamics: Validation of the 3D Method
Dates: Monday, November 10, 2003, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: USC, SCEC Conference Room

The objective of this workshop is to compare our methods of three-dimensional spontaneous rupture calculations. We welcome users and developers of 3-d finite-element, finite-difference, boundary integral/element, spectral element, and hybrid approaches to participate in the code comparison exercises.

We also welcome all other SCEC community members who are curious about our computer simulations of rupture dynamics and our use of the spontaneous rupture method, to attend the workshop.
