California Community Models for Seismic Hazard Workshop (online Mar 4-5, 2024)

SAVE THE DATE: California Community Models for Seismic Hazard Workshop (online Mar 4-5, 2024) 

 We will be holding an online workshop March 4-5, 2024, on Community Models for Seismic Hazard in California. Types of community models include geologic models, seismic velocity models, fault models, stress models, geodetic models, thermal models, and rheology models. The themes of the workshop include: 

  • Use cases for statewide models 
  • Inventory of existing models 
  • Techniques for merging models 
  • What does “community” in “community models” mean? 
  • Incentives for participating in the development of community models 

The workshop will be held online via Zoom with a tentative time schedule of 8am-12pm Pacific Time both days. We plan to send out more information in late January.
