Join the AxiSEM Community at SSA 2026: Workshop & Users Group

Come join CIG and the AxiSEMmunity at these two events during the week of the 2026 Seismological Society of America Annual Meeting:
|
- 2026 AxiSEM Community Development Workshop - April 13- 14, 2026. This meeting will include discussions in support of an active AxiSEM community and hands-on code development. The meeting is free to attend and is open to any developer, user or potential user of the AxiSEM3D seismic modeling code (or its precursor AxiSEM) who is interested in its maintenance, development, and future direction. Apply to attend by March 30 or until full. [more info].
- AxiSEM/AxiSEM3D Users Group - Friday, 17 April noon-12:45P. This SIG will update users and potential users on development and planning for the AxiSEM family of codes, including new functionality and features under development. See the SSA website for more info.

Applications Open: CRESCENT Geodesy Technical Short Course | June 15-17 | Virtual
|
Led by members of the Coupling, Seismicity, and Slow Slip (C3S) working group, this virtual course provides tools for recognizing how earthquake cycle processes in the Cascadia Subduction Zone are expressed in geodetic observations. Participants will learn basic processing of geodetic time series, extraction of velocities and displacements, and introductory inverse methods to constrain fault slip. The course includes lectures and hands-on training with Python and Jupyter notebooks.
