Job Opportunity:Assistant/Associate/Full Professor: R. S. Yeats Endowed Professorship in Active Tectonics and Earthquake Geology

The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences invites applications for a part-time (0.75 FTE), 12-month, tenure-track, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position. Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank is anticipated; however, appointment at a promoted rank may be considered depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.

The position is expected to integrate field-generated data with additional information, using analytical and/or computational techniques, to understand processes and patterns of crustal deformation over earthquake-cycle and longer timescales. Potential areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, continental deformation, subduction zones, paleoseismology and paleogeodesy, and fault-zone mechanics. This position will conduct field-based interdisciplinary research that integrates geological and geophysical data with the aim of improving society's understanding of and resilience to seismic hazards.

- Workshop attendance will be determined by application. Attendees must be US citizens, US residents, or at a US-based institution. The target audience is college/university faculty and other professionals involved in Earth and environmental science and engineering. Late-stage PhD students will also be considered.
- All accepted attendees are eligible for travel support in the form of hotel accommodations and a plane flight.
