About Me Publications
Morgan Olivia Newton is a junior studying computer science at University of California, Irvine. Her current research with the ACCESS MATCHPlus Program entails identifying, analyzing and optimizing high-performance computing efficiency for GPU-accelerated ice-sheet flow modeling. Project goals aim to narrow the uncertainty in future sea level rise predictions in order to better understand and limit the effects of climate change.

Academically, Morgan has plans to finish her Bachelors of Science, Computer Science degree at University of California, Irvine, continue gaining experience within research as well as industry, and she is contemplating pursuing graduate school.

Morgan is happily married and her husband works as an electrical engineer. They live in the Orange County area with three beautiful cats. Whenever she finds time outside of her studies, she loves playing softball, riding bikes and traveling.

Morgan is passionate about computer science and technology and is actively looking for opportunities to pursue research and computing within geoscience. Morgan would love to meet other like-minded individuals that she can learn from. If you'd like to chat, please send Morgan an email!
