Registration Open for 4th NEES Annual Meeting

The Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES), a shared national network of 15 experimental facilities, collaborative tools, a centralized data repository, and earthquake simulation software, invites you to the Fourth NEES Annual Meeting (June 21-23) with the theme Broadening Participation Throughout NEES.

Registration is now open! Please visit www.nees.org/4am/ to access our registration page. There you will find an on-line registration form (for paying by credit card), or a downloadable PDF registration form if you wish to pay by check, P.O., or money order. The deadline for receiving the early-bird conference registration rate is May 31, 2006. The deadline for the hotel registration room block rate of $149 per guest room is May 15, 2006.

The Fourth NEES Annual Meeting features the theme Broadening Participation Throughout NEES, and will be held in Washington, DC on June 21-23, 2006 at the Crystal City Doubletree Hotel, overlooking the Pentagon and the Capitol Mall. We have an exciting line-up for the Meeting, including technical presentations by NEES researchers in sessions such as Pushing Experimental Boundaries and Sensors and Instrumentation, the Annual Meeting Banquet and the Awards Ceremony. The NEES Showcase Day will be on Thursday June 22 and will focus on presentation and promotion of efforts by NEESR researchers and others. Issue forums will feature topics from the Education, Outreach and Training (EOT), Information Technology (IT) Strategy and Site Operations (SOC) Committees.
