Faculty Position in Solid Earth Geosciences at Georgia Tech

The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Solid Earth Geoscience. Candidates working in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: seismology, large-scale geodynamics, planetary geophysics and remote sensing, landscape evolution, and geologic hazards. Outstanding candidates at all levels will be considered, and mid-career senior scientists are especially encouraged to apply. We are seeking candidates who are interested in working in an interdisciplinary academic and research environment that includes atmospheric science, climate, oceanography, geochemistry, and geophysics. The Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the consistently top ranked educational/research institutions in the country, is undergoing significant growth in the earth and atmospheric sciences. The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences currently has 28 FTE faculty members, 92 graduate students, and 72 undergraduate students and has excellent facilities in the new 265,000 square-foot Environmental Science and Technology Building.
