Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

Geological Society of London Bicentenary Conference, London, 10-12th September 2007

Date: 05/14/2007

Dear all,

To celebrate its bicentennial, the Geological Society is organising a special conference at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, London. The oral sessions will be from invited speakers only.

This is an invitation to contribute to the Poster Session on: "Faulting at all scales". Faulting controls patterns of deformation on all scales, such that the geometries and mechanisms of faulting have implications far beyond structural geology. This session is intended to provide a forum for all aspects of research bearing on faults, at scales from microstructural to lithospheric.

Please consider submitting a contribution to this session, in what promises to be a very interesting and well-attended meeting. Further details of the conference and abstract submission details can be found at:

http://www.geolsoc.org.uk/bicentenaryconference

The deadline for registering posters is 15th June 2007. Please submit abstracts using the Geological Society of London Bicentenary Conference website:

Note that the deadline for early registration is 31st May. A full conference programme can be found at:

All the best,
Mak Allen and Zoe Shipton
