Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

Workshop reminder: DESDynI, July 17-19, 2007

Date: 07/03/2007

This is a forwarded reminder of an upcoming workshop:

The NRC Decadal Study DESDynI Science Workshop, July 17-19, 2007
Location: Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Florida

This is the third announcement of a NASA workshop on the science of DESDynI, a mission recommended by the National Research Council’s Decadal Study Report, Earth Science and Applications from Space: National Imperatives for the Next Decade and Beyond (http://www.nap.edu/catalog.php?record_id=11820).

The DESDynI Science Workshop is open to the broad national and international scientific community subject to the availability of space. Some travel funds are available. Participants in the preceding ICESat-II workshop are also encouraged to participate in the DESDynI because of the strong potential for interdisciplinary synergies in these two missions.

You must register at http://www.tisconferences.com/desdynl if you plan to attend this workshop. The registration site also provides hotel reservation information at the special workshop rate, a facility to submit a request for a travel subsidy, information on the meeting agenda, and information for those who wish to present a poster related to the DESDynI mission and its goals.

For more information, please see the attached (PDF) circular. Questions about the workshop can be addressed to Diane Wickland (office: 202-358-0245; email: Diane.E.Wickland@nasa.gov or John LaBrecque (office: 202-358-1373; email: John.LaBrecque@nasa.gov).
