Pomona College 1-Year Faculty Position in Tectonics

The Geology Department at Pomona College, the founding member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applications for a 1-year faculty position beginning July 1, 2008 to teach courses and assist with senior thesis supervision.

We seek a candidate eager to interact with talented undergraduates in an environment where teaching and research are emphasized. Teaching responsibilities are expected to include Tectonics with lab plus three other courses determined through discussion between the candidate and department. The latter will include a second lab course (please note that we do not require coverage of Structural Geology) and two non-lab courses (i.e. an introductory course and/or electives).
