WeatherPredict Consulting Inc., a research firm focused on geophysical hazards, vulnerability and risk, is seeking to fill a Seismic Risk Analyst position in Raleigh, NC, to:

* Review existing seismic risk models for consistency with current science in the context of property exposures for the financial sector
* Develop perspectives on seismic risk on a worldwide basis
* Support projects and development of analytical tools.
* Maintain and enhance base scientific knowledge of pertinent science and risk intelligence
* Prepare and update documentation and reports on different aspects of seismic risk and specific seismic events.

Position operates in an environment that revolves around timely client delivery and generation of scientific/geophysical data and forecasts.

Position requires a MS degree (PhD is preferred) in geophysical or engineering science and a minimum of 3 years experience in a related industry. Solid computational and statistical skills are a requirement. Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills.
