On behalf of the Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics Committee of the Geo-Institute (G-I) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), we would like to cordially invite you to attend the 5th Conference on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics (GEESD V), which will be held June 10–13, 2018 in Austin, TX.  GEESD V 2018 builds upon the success of past events in Sacramento CA (2008), Seattle WA (1998), Park City UT (1988), and Pasadena CA (1978).
 
GEESD V 2018 will feature a wide range of knowledge-enhancing keynote speakers, technical sessions, and short courses focused on the following topics:
• Ground motions and site response
• Seismic hazard assessment
• Recent Advances in In Situ Site Characterization
• Liquefaction: Triggering, Consequences, and Mitigation
• Recent Advances in Numerical Modeling
• Recent Advances in Physical Modeling
• Laboratory Testing
• Seismic Slope Stability and Landslides
• Induced Seismicity
• Regional Scale Assessment of GeoHazards
