Intellectual Merit We examined rocks from the Cajon Pass borehole, in order to determine the depth variation in deformation, and the nature of fault-related damage. We determined that the deepest part of the borehole likely sampled a region where rocks were altered and deformed, and show the relationship between fluids and deformation.
Broader Impacts David Forand, a graduate student, did his MS degree on this project.
