Intellectual Merit The SIV-project tries to quantify the uncertainty in earthquake source inversion. As such, the ongoing validation tests will help to reliable detect the robust features in earthquake source models.
Broader Impacts The SIV-project cooperates internationally, and engages several researchers from Japan and Europe (France, Italy), as well as from Saudi Arabia, and thus broadens the SCEC community.
