Intellectual Merit In order to address our overarching topic of “How coeval faults cross one another in time and space”, we mapped and analyses structures of the San Jacinto fault zone where they may mutually interfere with NE-striking faults of the Extra, Kane Springs, and Elmore Ranch fault zones. The work to date shows that two faults may be presents in roughly the same place at roughly the same time.
Broader Impacts A student will earn his MS thesis orm this research. The PI is a female. Future field-based courses may build on this effort.
