Judi Chester is a professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Texas A&M University. Her research is focused on deformation processes of earthquake faulting. She has served as the Vice Chair of the SCEC Science Planning Committee (2014-present), member of the SCEC Board of Directors (2012-2014), and co-leader and leader of the Fault and Rupture Mechanics focus group (2004-2011).
