I studied Physics for my Undergraduate degree at University of North Texas and had the opportunity to become exposed to seismology research at SCEC during the summer of my Junior year. This experience has driven me to seek more knowledge in geophysics and led me to a pursue a PhD in Geological Sciences at University of California at Riverside. I am currently using 3D finite element modeling to understand the behavior of seismic waves on faults. I would like to bridge my previous knowledge of statistical modeling and physics with finite element modeling to develop a predictive model for seismic activity.
