Exciting news! We're transitioning to the Statewide California Earthquake Center. Our new website is under construction, but we'll continue using this website for SCEC business in the meantime. We're also archiving the Southern Center site to preserve its rich history. A new and improved platform is coming soon!

I am a PhD candidate (Structural Engineering) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with my current research focused on seismic response of freestanding structures, particularly Precariously Balanced Rocks (PBRs). I hold a Masters degree in Civil Engineering (Thesis focus: Seismic Isolation) from Istanbul University, Turkey. Besides, I also spent a few months at University of Bristol, UK, as a graduate research assistant intern on a large research project related to Nuclear Power Plant incorporating Advanced Gas Cooled Reactor.
